The Value Clipper Magazine has served Atlanta Merchants and consumers since 1985 and is Atlanta’s most recognized coupon Savings Magazine. In 1989, Value Clipper Magazine became a division of Cox Enterprises. For the next few years, Value Clipper Magazine increased its ability to reach more Atlanta area households and Increased the frequency of publication.

In an effort to further expand Value Clipper Magazine’s ability to improve programs and advertising products in Atlanta, in 1992 the Value Clipper Magazine and its employees joined forces with the Atlanta Journal and Constitution. In 1996, The Value Clipper Magazine staff joined forces with the Atlanta Journal and Constitution’s Direct Marketing Sales staff.

Since joining forces with the Atlanta Journal and Constitution in 1992, many changes to the original core program have taken place.

• Today Value Clipper Magazine publishes a monthly, 12 issue per year schedule that reaches 1,000,000 metro Atlanta households each issue. Value Clipper offers its advertisers a unique distribution pattern that features delivery to the Sunday Atlanta Journal-Constitution subscriber base as well to nonsubcribers of carefully selected postal carrier routes in conjunction with the AJC’s REACH Shared Mail program.

• Beginning in 1993, in an effort to respond to key advertisers needs, a multiple advertiser, 4 color, 4 page insert program was developed by the Value Clipper Magazine sales staff. This new program, called Atlanta Values combined the distribution strength of both the Atlanta Journal and Constitution and the AJC Shared Mail delivery programs, delivered to 1 Million households in the Atlanta metro area. What started as a single issue a month program has grown to a weekly program. A further expansion of the program was made and a Zoned Atlanta Values was developed, allowing advertisers to target their ad message into 1 of 4 unique zones. Today, Atlanta Values remains a weekly program that offers advertisers distribution opportunities of 250,000 to 1,000,000.

• Beginning in 2002, a further expansion of the advertising program was made with the development of our unique Custom Values program. Custom Values is a very specialized turnkey advertising program offered by the AJC whereby an advertiser may select one of four different sized products to be printed and delivered on advertiser-selected publication dates, targeted to specific areas by zip code. Distribution is selected by the advertiser and is provided by the Atlanta Journal and Constitution and/or the USPS Shared Mail program of the AJC.
